IMPORTANT UPDATE ***
This website will soon be donated to the folks who run the
official Olmos Park Terrace Neighborhood Association
website,
www.theoptna.org.
It
will be up to them to decide how to use this site and
domain name in the future.
It has been a lot of fun running the site but its time to
let some new blood breath some life into
www.olmosparkterrace.org
again.
Please stay tuned as the site is handed over to
www.theoptna.org.
Sincerely,
The Webmaster
-------------------------------------
Welcome to the completely
unofficial – but hopefully informative – website of Olmos
Park Terrace.
Our neighborhood is nestled at the southwest corner of the
intersection of Basse Road and McCullough Avenue in north
central San Antonio. Olmos Park Terrace is a vibrant mix of
professors and lawyers and artists and teachers and police
officers and nurses and community activists and young
families and retirees and – well, you get the idea.
Platted in the 1930's and built mostly before World War II,
our neighborhood has a long history in San Antonio. Much of
the neighborhood having been recently designated a San
Antonio Historic District, the neighborhood also has a
bright future.
This website is completely non-commercial. It is just a fun
personal project and a way of collecting and distributing
information about our great little piece of San Antonio.
There is much more that can be – and eventually will be –
included on this site about the neighborhood, its history,
its residents, and its nearby businesses.
